Whereas fintechs have permanently reshaped the finance industry, tech has not yet disrupted insurance. We are well underway to reshape the “dull” and “tedious” image of insurance to engaging, easy, and reliable.

We are a tech company at heart, building our own data-driven insurance platform. We extensively rely on data (API integrations, automated workflows, rule engines, machine learning) to figure out how to best get (and keep) our customer’s companies insured. Combine that with our fully online portal, real attention to UX, and leading underwriting, then getting your business insured may just become a fun experience.

What you'll be doing

Insify's online insurance platform is highly dynamic. To only ask the entrepreneur what really counts and tailor the examples and products to their profession. And cater to the regulatory and user needs of each different European country we go live in.

You work with a seasoned team to build highly configurable, dynamic, and scalable web applications. You will be building components and applications, and closely work with our senior UX designer to make the frontend shine.

What you'll need

We are looking for amazing humans, not someone who ticks all boxes. So if this role seems like something for you, go ahead and apply!

You have seen your fair share of frontend frameworks and languages and know how-to pick the right tool for the job. You have a strong focus on test-first and quality. You like to learn and stay on top of technological developments. If you like to venture into backend: you're welcome!

• You have an affinity and experience in frontend development, Javascript / Typescript and optionally NodeJS
• You know how to connect the frontend and backend and avoid the pitfalls of routing, state management (e.g., context hooks, Redux if you must), performance, and security
• You experienced the power of component-based frameworks like React and Vue
• You prefer strongly typed and functional languages to simply know it works when the build says ok
• You have a decent feel for design and UX, and can handle the CSS tricks needed to make your frontend look the part
• We believe in TDD and pair programming where relevant for quality and fun, you know how to test your user interfaces and know your way around its tools, e.g., Jest/Enzyme or similar
• You can demonstrate you created challenging software. Large-scale, single-page web applications beyond the 2,000-line textbook example. More than once
• You have an engineering degree (BSc or more), ideally in Computer Science or equivalent
• Given the insurtech domain, relevant experience in the insurance or finance industry is certainly a plus
